Todd and Sandra are the husband-and-wife team behind Hardrock Home.

Their renovation journey began in 2001 when they purchased and restored their own historic Queen Anne home. That first project sparked a shared passion for creating spaces that are both lasting and livable.

Hardrock Home was founded on the belief that renovations should feel guided and personal, not overwhelming. Their approach combines design and construction under one roof — a true partnership built on trust, collaboration, and years of experience.

Todd’s Craftsmanship & Construction Experience

Todd brings over two decades of hands-on experience in residential renovations, from structural framing to fine finish carpentry. His work spans new builds, historic home reconfigurations, custom millwork, and full-home transformations.

He handles most of the construction work himself — from full kitchen cabinetry installations, trim work and drywall to flooring — which means your project is completed with consistency, care, and craftsmanship from start to finish. For plumbing and electrical, we rely on our trusted licensed trades.

Sandra’s Design EXPERTISE

With an NKBA-accredited Kitchen & Bath Designer diploma and other industry certifications and over 22 years of experience, Sandra designs spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Her expertise running her own kitchen department working with eight cabinet lines — along with a history of top sales performance — means she understands how to tailor a layout and product selection to your real, everyday life. She’s passionate about creating kitchens that work hard and feel like home, right down to the last drawer and detail.

Working closely with Todd during installation, Sandra ensures cabinetry isn’t just great on paper — but her in depth understanding of installations based on her hands on collaberation with Todd brings a rare skill to design.

some questions & answers

  • Short answer: No. Once we start your renovation, we focus on it from start to finish — unless there are unexpected delays beyond our control.

  • We’re typically booked 2–6 months in advance, depending on the season and project scope. If you're hoping to get started soon, the best time to reach out is now, especially if you are interested in special order millwork (cabinetry).

  • Kitchens and baths are detailed spaces with many options and approvals times depend on how fast you make decisions or changes. That said, it takes typically about anywhere from 1-2 months for design and then anywhere from one to two months for ordering so reaching out to us well in advance of your renovation start date is advised.

  • Knowing the amount that you will invest in your project helps us tailor ideas that truly fit your goals, the product selections and the design we create for your home and makes the process smoother when we understand your needs.

  • We respond to emails within 48 business hours between Mon - Fri 9am -5pm. Consultations are by appointment only with occasional Mon-Thursday early evening hours available.

  • While most of our work is focused on full-service renovations, we occasionally take on smaller projects that we would schedule in between larger projects. If you have a smaller project request, please fill out our inquiry form and we will let you know if we can help you.
